Just to emphasize, you must cleanup after you are done with an invisible instance. When ever I open the Excel sheet I get a blank page. Then you can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the window where you can see it and resize it to what you want. Peterson, you misunderstood the question. Try downloading the file to your actual Documents folder and open it up that way. But, It did not work. In office 2010, going to View tab there was an unhide button.

We can only view spreadsheets in the preview pane. You hit File Print preview Do you see anything? I have tried every option suggested on forums that I have read including unticking and reticking the box in Excel advanced options to 'show all windows in taskbar', also right clicking on the taskbar to 'never combine' and although this is not really what I'm after, the workbook will not show in the taskbar either. Columns C and D are hidden. If I answer yes, I lose my changes, if I answer no, the changes are saved. Would you have any other ideas or options? It's a fix for the time being anyway - have sometimes done this so that I can see two workbooks open at the same time I use two monitors but I never thought about it for this instance. Hello, I am having the same problem with Excel and so is my boss. My drivers are all up to date, though. I can see the column in Print Preview. You should be able to rightclick on the icon on the taskbar and choose Move. If someone can try the following solution without a second window, please let us know because it will provide a solution with less steps.
Does the file have macros? I just used this tip 12 years after you posted this. Just select and copy all failed sheet content. If you have a synced onedrive folder, you can save documents into there and as onedrive naturally syncs they'll then be available online. All my cell content are not visible - but it shows up in the print preview. I did undo plus all the things that everyone on this site has suggested. Maybe the one he sent you is corrupted. Once you get enough of it back you'll be able to use the window controls as normal. I spent 3 hours trying all different advice from a gazillion sites until I tinkered around myself and miraculously fixed it! You can read from that sheet each time you want to return a value. By doing it this way though you will not get prompted to save changes back to the Excel file your reading from.
It is clearly a driver problem. How would I chg the code to do this? Then, I need a way to bring back this userform to the point I was at before being put on hold so that I can continue to input entries into the textboxes again, a buttton that could bring it back. The previous suggestions haven't worked. This is only for one user. This happens pretty much every day and with a wide variety of Excel files, not the same ones. The spreadsheet is completely white but I do see the data in the formula bar and print preview. What makes this really odd is that if I look at the file in Preview mode in the Excel email item that is was attached to, I can see the file just fine.

I am experiencing the same challenge. None of these make any difference. In the second spreadsheet, I want to have a list of the cars that have already been filled out in a form before. Excel is now unusable and the only way we can close excel is via the task manager. Although all the menu options above are grayed out, the temp file appears to be present as though the file is actually opened. The only reason it is an issue is that after running the macro you end up on the last sheet in the book.
